This article analyzes the scientific biography of T. E. Beidina, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor of the Transbaikal State University, celebrated her 60th anniversary in 2012. Her Candidate thesis (of 1981), Doctoral thesis (of 2000), monographs and numerous scientific papers highlight the problems of common history, national security of Russia, regional policy, political and ethno-political processes, political power and its effectiveness, political and public administration, local self-government and municipal service as a socio-political institution.
