EDITORIAL POLICY
JOURNAL GOAL«Izvestiya Irkutskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta». Seriya «Politologiya. Religiovedenie» («The Bulletin of Irkutsk State University». Series «Political Science and Religion Studies») publishes articles in theory, methodology, and history of different areas of political science; results of applied research on Russian and world politics; academic and methodological materials for lecturers and students studying political science and religion studies.
Editorial board aims at preserving the journal as the platform for discussion on key issues of political science and religion studies, therefore, its content does not necessarily reflect the views of the editorial board. The basic task of the editorial board is drawing in authors from Russian and foreign research centers, which is successfully being implemented – percentage of authors from Irkutsk does not exceed one-third of the overall collective body of authors. Much attention is paid to discussion being intergenerational, hence authors with various background get published: old and eminent scholars, those with experience and striving to get to the top, and those only beginning their scientific career – postgraduate students, postgraduate degree seekers, and Master’s degree students. It is important for the editorial board to have authors who are practitioners – politicians, local media managers, members of the clergy.
The mission of the journal is providing researchers with an opportunity to exchange their ideas and the results of their studies, as well as helping researchers co-operate with each other in the region and international scientific community.
The journal publishes full-size original articles, reviews, and brief scientific articles in English and Russian.
There is an open access to all articles to promote their global circulation, with copyright secured.

BASIC PRINCIPLES
The articles are accepted in Russian and in English.
The manuscripts submitted for publication should meet the following requirements: topicality of the research area, research scientific novelty, originality of the research issues and applied research methods, high scientific and practical significance of the obtained results.
All articles received by the editorial board are reviewed in accordance with the reviewing procedure. An obligatory condition for publication is the verification of materials through the "Antiplagiat" system. Review can be provided to the author by his request without the reviewer's name.
The editorial board has the right to refuse publication of the article on the basis of the results of the review, inconsistency of the article's material with the subject matter of the journal, and also if the quality of the presented materials is unsatisfactory.
The editorial board in its activity is guided by the principles of journal ethics. The journal publishes only original articles, which are not under simultaneous consideration by another journal.
Each submitted article should include the license agreement by the first author that the article has not been published previously or submitted elsewhere for review and a copyright transfer. Acceptance of the papers for publication is performed continuously. All submitted materials must be technically prepared in accordance with the Author guidelines.
The journal maintains a policy of open access to published material, for the use of which the fee is not charged. Use of journal materials for commercial purposes is not allowed. The published articles can be found on the journal's website, on the e-library website, on the platforms of electronic libraries and international databases. Publication of papers is free of charge for the authors. Peer review is not paid.
All the articles are published in the journal under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
SELF-ARCHIVING POLICY
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online on personal or public websites prior to and during the submission process. Should the materials, published in «The Bulletin of Irkutsk State University». Series «Political Science and Religion Studies» are being reproduced in other editions, a reference to the journal is required.
