The paper is concerned with the main areas of church and community service of the Krasnoyarsk archdiocese of the Russian Orthodox Church at the present stage. Unique types of church and community services in culture, science, education and mass media are considered in the research work for the first time. They appeared in 1990-s and became long-term and regular. Formation and development of the new types of church and community services are analyzed in the case of the region. The present research work also contains data of the religious organizations (the dioceses included into the Krasnoyarsk archdiocese of the Russian Orthodox Church) introduced for the first time and exclusive interviews with the participants and pioneers of the above mentioned types of church and community activities. Classification of new types of church and community services is presented. The reasons for their appearance are considered. Church’s capacity in solution of social problems in the region is also shown.
