Abstract
The sociology of religion is examined as an academic discipline emphasizing the complexity and diversity of religious life in society. The relevance of the work is driven by the need to analyze the impact of religious feelings on social processes in various contexts. The problem is framed around identifying criteria and methodologies for measuring religiosity that consider both general and individual aspects. Key concepts of religiosity, including functional and multidimensional approaches, and their application in empirical research are discussed. Results demonstrate that religiosity cannot be reduced to a single dimension and requires a comprehensive approach. Conclusions emphasize the importance of considering regional and confessional specificity, as well as the necessity of integrating various theories and methods for a deeper understanding of the dynamics of religious communities. The novelty of the work lies in proposing a synthesis of sociological, cognitive, and psycho-emotional approaches, thereby opening new avenues for future research in the field of religious studies.
