Problems of Legal Regulation of Religious Feelings of Believers in the Russian Federation: Causes, Consequences and Solutions

Abstract
This article explores the concept of insulting religious feelings and its manifestation in the social space, as well as analyzes various aspects of this phenomenon, including its definition, possible consequences and social significance. Legal aspects related to the protection of religious feelings, including laws and legal norms in the Russian Federation, are touched upon. The importance of the socio-cultural context and its influence on the perception of insulting religious feelings in Russian society is emphasized. The social consequences of the introduction of criminal liability for insulting religious feelings in Russia are being established. The article considers the negative experience of the lack of law enforcement practice for the defense of religious feelings of believers on the example of the French Republic. Special attention is paid to reflecting the concept of religious feelings of believers as a complex and multifaceted concept, the protection of which must maintain a balance between human rights to freedom of expression and respect for other people's religious beliefs. The question of the possibility of expressing the concept of "religious feeling of believers" as a subject of legal regulation is considered. The existing problems of the terminological apparatus are noted, and an attempt is made to classify actions aimed at insulting religious feelings, according to the law enforcement practice in the Russian Federation.
