Abstract
This thesis is devoted about the correspondence of the USSR ministry of Higher Education and its domains with Irkutsk State University. The correspondence touches upon the quali-fication of educational staff of the university, its researchers and other specialists in 1940–50 s. This problem was seen as a part of state policy in the sphere of education.
