Opposition of ethnic thinking and that of the nation is analyzed. Such opposition is necessary since ethnic image of a society and an image of a modern society are in dissonance. It is because ethnos originally taught society’s creation to the subject. And modern society unfortunately ignores these practices, offering constructs in exchange. Its reliance on the total market blocks many institutions imperceptibly destroying them. As a result the tragedy of uselessness of ethnic culture becomes an important component of existence of our contemporary citizen.
