The article presents the study devoted to Russian holiness phenomenon (theoretical and methodological aspect) in terms of philosophical metaphysics from modern experience theory perspective. Timeliness of the philosophical problem raised in the paper is to understand what socio-cultural mechanism of person’s theological self-identification development is used by Orthodox ascetic and mystic tradition in modern situation and what guiding principle allowing a person improve his or her nature and peacefully live in a variety of confessions it suggests.
