Being as Being-in-Communication

Author(s)

Abstract

The turn of philosophy to the ontology in modern times has led to realization of such phenomenon as being-in-communication. Both Russian and German philosophies paid special attention to the ontology of language (let's call it “being-in-word”). The ontology of language leads us to the logics of gathering and scattering. This logic has to do with self-organizing logic, which implements social communication or being-in-communication. According to Russian philosophy “to be means to be related”. And thus an individual or a community is pluralities, the existence of which is subject to self-reproducing and self-organizing mechanisms of communication. And various sorts of meanings and norms do not precede but arise as the result of the relationship itself. This way the relationship itself is primary. In the network of relationships the actors of communication act are not actors themselves but responsible participants of the interaction.
