The article considers some aspects of teaching socio-political disciplines in higher education institutions. According to the author, the process of teaching socio-political disciplines should be based on polemical interaction among subjects of the educational process. The author focuses on strategic principles, implementation of which will enable to achieve significant educational effect in the process of teaching socio-political disciplines and create conditions for the formation of students’ necessary cultural and professional competences.
