Background of Russia’s policy in the Middle East
The article considers the influence of cultural and Christian factor on the political line of Russia in the Middle East. The special role of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IOPS), as a conductor of Russian policy through social development and education of the Palestinian population is examined.
