Abstract
The paper is concerned with the development of a multiparty system in the Irkutsk region. The author identifies specific features of this process in the Irkutsk region on the basis of general tendencies of the development of a multiparty system in Russia. The author presents periods of the development of a multiparty system in the region, and describes the process of the development of the parties, he also gives events analysis, and makes general conclusion.
