Abstract
Insufficient validity of intention to turn Russia into energy and resource super-power by means of Siberian resources as well as major shift to the East is proved. Increase of Siberian resources supply to East Asian market is heavily limited both by low efficiency compared to that of competitors from littoral countries and transport and logistics capacity of national railroads and seaports. Basic ways of elimination of tightening transport and geographical limitations factor effect upon Siberia economy and expansion of its foreign trade are revealed. Major and efficient shift of Russia economy to the East can be ensured on condition of radical transport spending cutdown by means of building high-speed transcontinental line on the base of Trans-Siberian railway and improving raw material processing.
