The article is devoted to the peculiarities of adaptation and integration of the «one-and-a-half generation» migrants enrolled in schools of Astrakhan and Samara. The article highlights the problems of their initial adaptation on arrival in Russia, the difficulties and peculiarities of their adaptation to the Russian educational system, their relationships with local peers and the general public, community dialogue and communication, relationships with parents and the sending society, the ties with the homeland, their involvement in culture local host communities, identity, perception of the social environment of Russian cities. Special attention was paid to the assessment of their level of integration, life plans and expectations.
