Memories of the French Chaplain about Siberia (1918–1919)

Abstract
The author analyzes the travel notes of the French chaplain Albert Gratiet, written during his stay in Siberia. Siberian events during the Civil War are considered from the point of view of religious, spiritual and social life of the Russian people. A particular impact of two cultures is described thoroughly: the French Catholic spirituality and complex ideological Russian mosaic connected with the Russian revolution and the Civil War.
