Spiritual Subjectivity of Ethnos in the Context of an Axiological Discourse

Abstract
Article analyzes ethnos as a value constructed and reconstructed by religious experience. The value-based understanding of ethnos means the change of its objective state into a state of the subject. Such transition makes it possible to avoid potential domination of constructivist and instrumentalist understanding of ethnos without direct connection of ethnic identity with religious experience. The axiological interpretation of ethnos also helps to track a transition mechanism from a material civilization to spiritualized sociocultural life within poly-subject sociality. Moreover the definition of ethnos as a value helps to abstract from dialectic understanding of ethno genesis and view it metaphysically. Establishment of ethnos as an eternal value is seen by the authors as one of the purposes of religious experience.
