The article reviews a book of Viktor N. Kazarin, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Irkutsk State University, and Yulia P. Lyakutina, Candidate of Historical Sciences, “Legal Education in Eastern Siberia (1918–1991)” (Irkutsk: ISU Publishers, 2012. – 483 p.). This book analyzes problems of legal education formation and development in the region, as well as the state policy with regard to the regional legal education. It particularly emphasizes problems of higher school organizational structure, scientific personnel and research work.
