Abstract
The article examines the dynamics and prospects of political and economic relations between Russia and China under the influence of global geopolitical and geo-economic transformations observed during the period of the declared strategic partnership between the countries, with an emphasis on the last decade and the period 2022–2025. The authors note the multi-speed movement in achieving an “all-encompassing strategic partnership” of political and economic components. With the consistency of geopolitical positions in the parameter of economic interaction between Russia and China, there are contradictions in both bilateral relations and those derived from global geopolitical and geo-economic transformations and turbulence, generating risks for Russian-Chinese cooperation and for Russia in particular. In the context of sanctions pressure from the West, maintaining effective economic ties with China is a factor in Russia's political and economic stability and development security. The strategic partnership between Russia and China has proved its viability and productivity and currently has global significance, which does not exclude the possibility of a negative impact of external factors on bilateral trade and economic relations and the potential for their deformation. Russia must be prepared for the challenges of geopolitical and geo-economic turbulence, potential economic risks and their mitigation.
