Interfaith Cooperation in Russia in Dealing with the Consequences of Emergencies

Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the problem of social solidarity in Russian society, manifested in the stratification of the population along religious lines and the insufficient level of interfaith dialogue. The role of interfaith cooperation as a tool for fostering tolerant attitudes and strengthening public consensus is emphasized. Within the framework of the study, the author examines current practices of interreligious collaboration in the field of responding to the consequences of emergencies, including the organization of humanitarian aid collection, the holding of joint prayer events, the formation of volunteer corps, and the exchange of experience among religious communities. A trend is identified toward the transition from sporadic, spontaneous initiatives to the institutionalization of interfaith interaction formats in a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The study concludes that interfaith cooperation is highly effective in addressing the aftermath of emergencies, contributing to the harmonization of the social environment, the strengthening of traditional values, and the consolidation of civic identity.
