Author(s)
O. V. Popova, O. D. Dada
Abstract
The article explores the global architecture of Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance, as AI has become one of the most rapidly developing technologies influencing the economy, politics, and society, while also generating cross–border and international benefits and risks. This necessitates international cooperation and regulation, making the study of global AI governance a relevant research direction. Based on content analysis of international AI–related events organized by UN– recognized international organizations, the dynamics of these events, their types, and their connection to the regions where the organizations are based or where the events are held are analyzed. The study examines how current mechanisms of global AI governance, influenced by past experiences, are shaping new practices. Particular attention is paid to the role of international fora, forms of epistemic power in AI development and governance, and the importance of expert knowledge in shaping the global governance architecture.
