Abstract
The nonlinearity of the modern political process is considered from the point of view of the theory of the issue. It is concluded that the nonlinear political process violates the usual “cause – effect” scheme, and this is not just a consequence of the fact that the modern political process develops in the information space of mass media reality. A new look at the problem lies in the fact that the information essence itself is considered as the basis of the political process. Such a formulation of the problem is largely innovative and entails the problem of understanding the subjective composition of politics, since in the reality of the mass media today an individual has great freedom in the information plan. It is concluded that traditional ideas about subjectivity in politics have transformed, in modern conditions an independent subject of politics is an individual. It is emphasized that this is a modern politician, a blogger, whose impact on the political process is compared with the influence of an entire political or social institution. It is concluded that this influence extends not only to one's own country, but also to the level of international relations. This circumstance is studied as a new challenge for modern politics, which gives rise to the nonlinearity of the political process.
