Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the fundamental document of the administration of US President Joseph Biden, which defines the key directions of the United States' struggle for the Indo-Pacific region. This area of the globe has long been recognized by American leaders as vital to the security and prosperity of the United States. The content of the work involves the study of the main aspects of the theory and practice of preparing the United States for the fight for the IndoPacific region, the intended goals and main directions for the implementation of this strategy during the immediate period after the publication of the document. Based on an analysis of the text of the document, an attempt has been made to trace the continuity of the views of the current American leadership on the content of the country’s policy in this region in conceptual terms, as well as the features of its implementation in practice, taking into account the modern specifics and the readiness of the US allies and partners in the region for such a turn of events. It is concluded that the serious strategic ambitions of the American administration are based on the belief that in the near future no region will be more important for the United States than the Indo-Pacific region. The results of the study are relevant in the context of determining options for possible US actions in the IPR.
