“Soft Power” in China-Russia Relations: Directions and Implementation Mechanisms

Abstract
The article explores the concept of “soft power” in the context of China-Russia relations. Various directions and mechanisms through which countries implement their “soft power” towards each other are examined: export of cultural products and international education with cultural exchanges. Various initiatives and organizations created to promote cultural exchange and cooperation in the fields of music, cinema, literature, media, sports, and tourism between the two countries are described. The purpose of writing the article is to study the directions and mechanisms of implementing “soft power” in China-Russia relations. The research tasks include: defining the role of “soft power” in these relations; analyzing the mechanisms of implementing “soft power” implies studying specific strategies, tools, and practices that China and Russia use to implement their “soft power”; evaluating the effectiveness of these mechanisms in strengthening bilateral relations. The research sources contain official government documents of China and Russia, reports of international organizations, news articles.
