The Policy of National Integration of Russians in China

Abstract
In this paper, the author tells about the results of the study of the integration process of
Russian settlers in China. First of all, the history of emigration flows from Russia, their periodization
and intensity are considered. Further, the author focuses on issues of state policy in relation to national minorities, including Russian immigrants. The necessity of preserving cultural identity, the
possibility of forming ethno-cultural self-identification of ethnic communities with the help of statesponsored events and the adoption of appropriate documents is analyzed. The author comes to the
conclusion that the Chinese government, as a result of taking a number of political measures to support the development of an original culture, has created favorable conditions for the cultural integration of the Russian population.
