Formation of Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Cyclic Concepts in the Political Sphere: The First Half of the 20th Century

Abstract
The radical political and social changes that took place in the first half of the 20th century required their scientific understanding and rational interpretation. Cyclical concepts are becoming one of the ways to penetrate deep into the processes that took place in society. Within the framework of a comparative historical and systematic approach, the author considers the formation of their theoretical and methodological foundations. The main attention is paid to the content of the concepts. Each of them is an ideal scheme where scientists simply describe a complex reality. This made the theories available for critical comments and further scientific research. The author comes to the conclusion that the differentiation of sciences contributed to the interdisciplinary study of cyclical processes in society, the search and development of new approaches in the study of nonlinear dynamics, which further contributed to the formation of theoretical and methodological foundations of political cyclicity.
