Northern Sea Route in the Geopolitical Plans of China and Russia's Position

Abstract

The main topic of the study is the strategies of China and Russia in relation to the Arctic. The article presents the positions of these countries determining the need for their cooperation in the development of the Northern Sea Route and the development of natural resources in the Arctic. The article also provides points of view of the states interested in the development of the Arctic on the development and legal status of this region, including upholding their national sovereignty over the Arctic space or its internationalization.
