The work is concerned with the concept of religious ecophile world view. The relationship of religious issues to environment and life can be expressed in certain statements that confirm the ecophile nature of religion. Religions, which set forth ecophile views, have their own characteristics and are equipped to tackle environmental problems. The purpose of the paper is to study the interaction of ecophilic and ecophobic strategies of man and society in the context of religious consciousness. Religion is seen as a regulator in the relationship between man and environment.
