Faces of the Russian Young People’s Political Journalism at Its Beginning

Author(s)
S. I. Goldfarb
Abstract

The paper focuses on ideological and political views of young Soviet journalists in 1920s. The author highlighted the problems of relationship between country’s ruling elite and free and independent media shown through the biography of two revolutionaries and editors of the youth newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. The author considers the ideological standards accepted in the USSR to be an obstacle to free journalistic rhetoric. The materials of the “Komsomolskaya Pravda” archive contributed greatly to writing the paper.
