The Development of Christian Morality in the Context of Dual Faith (Literature Analysis)

Abstract

The article deals with the process of development of moral views in the context of dual faith. The emphasis has been placed on the rationale for the change of value models at the turn of XI–XIII centuries in Kiev Rus. The authors analyze literary sources where moral problems are concerned with. Comparison of religious and secular principles of human life brings to the fore the most significant factors that determine the moral transformation in society. Basic virtues proposed as guidelines for the development of new moral standards have been investigated.
