The University as Vocation and Destiny (by the 60-th Anniversary of A. I. Smirnov)
The article is dedicated to the 60-s anniversary of A. I. Smirnov, the Rector of the Irkutsk State University. His life and active professional, scientific and social activities are described. The research of the university staffs labour in the period of 1990–2000-s is carried out.
