Russia in the Asia-Pacific Region Integration Processes: Challenges and Prospects

Abstract
The primary national interests of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region are considered. The basic strategic goals of Russia's foreign policy and its role in the regional integration processes are shown. Prospects of Russia’s cooperation with the Asia Pacific countries are assessed and the measures for improving the effectiveness of its foreign policy strategy in the region are proposed.
