Author(s)

Abstract
Territorial expansion of information networks leads to creation of complete and specific linearly nodal structures called network regions. In addition to uniform and nodal regions, it is suggested to allocate evolutionary regions as groups of the elementary networks with similar development pathways. Postal network regionalization of Asian Russia (1782–1916) is carried out. General direction of evolution of regions occurring at different times is established.
