Youth Patriotic Education as an Important Element of Political Socialization (the Case of Youth Expedition to Khalkhin-Gol)

Abstract
From 2004 to 2014 a number of projects of youth expeditions along the route of the parties involved in the events that took place at Khalkhin-Gol in 1939 were carried out. In 1939 alliance forces of Russia and Mongolia repelled Japanese aggressors, who encroached on the territorial integrity of Mongolia. Irkutsk region government initiated four youth expeditions to Khalkhin-Gol. The authors chronologically traced 10-year long history of the expeditions that are of great importance for youth patriotic education in Irkutsk region.
