Features of the Orthodox Church Extension Among the Buryats in the XIX c.

Abstract

The paper analyzes some peculiarities of the Orthodox religion extension among the Buryats in the 19th century on the basis of the archive materials of S. P. Baldayev’s field research works. The article deals with a historical and logical overview of the Orthodox mission evolution, which is one of the cultural and civilizational dominants in the processes of the colonization of the region by the Empire.
