The article offers a complex analysis of Oakeshott’s biography, an English political philosopher, author of numerous essays and political theory studies, as well as the world's political ideas history, religious science, philosophy of History and others actual studies of contemporary humanitarian knowledge. The article shows the main stages of Oakeshott’s career and private life, moreover reviews the philosopher's fundamental works. Besides the article considers the origins and the formation process of Oakeshott’s peculiar and versatile political philosophy.
