Bolshevists' actions in Prevention and Opposition to the Armed Resistance of Peasants in Siberia in 1920–1924-s (by the Example of the Irkutsk and Yeniseisk Provinces)

Abstract

The article examines the complex of measures taken by the Soviet and Party structures of the Irkutsk and Yeniseisk provinces in order to prevent and suppress armed resistance of peasants in 1920–1924-s. Several facts ascertaining the efficiency of mass unlegal lynching, of VCHK–OGPU, propaganda and educational campaigns, amnesties announcements, formation of special service.
