Typology of Relationship between Church and State

Abstract
Models of relationship of Christian Church and the state are briefly analyzed. They are systematically generalized and stated. Features of each type of the church and state relations ranging from the symphony to separation of Church from the state are investigated. Description of the relations of Russian Orthodox Church and modern Russian state is given. The opinion of some researchers that in Russia the clericalism policy is pursued is criticized. The author expresses his vision of further development of the relations between Church and the state.
