Socialization of Contemporary Russian Student Community: Federal Level and Regional Aspects
The paper analyses the study guide by R. Yu. Zulyar intended to arrange effective training conforming to the requirements of the academic curriculum on such majors as “Political science” and ”Youth Work Management”. The author’s stand on such issues as models, functions and mechanisms of person’s political socialization, importance of education system for socialization process, the role of higher education institutions in this process, and student community as the object of political socialization is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the issues of methodology of contemporary educational process, correlation of “education services” and tasks on character education, issues of deideologization of teaching and learning activities and its consequences. The author points out that in real terms the course for deideologization has led to substitution of principles, and negative sequences of moral and spiritual character. Civic consciousness and patriotic education is determined by objective real world situation of today rather than subjective wish of certain interest groups. Much attention is paid to improving teaching methods of social and humanitarian courses, and active extra-curricular ways of political socialization. Certain instances of success in the direction indicated in Irkutsk region higher education institutions are given.
