Abstract
The article considers the process and main results of the theoretical and practical conference «Region within the State and the World: trends and dynamics of political development») held in April 2014 in Irkutsk. The authors highlight the results of the round table discussions organized by the magazine «Polis» whithin the conference. The paper provides a brief review of participants' reports.
