The article considers the expansion of state Orthodoxy in Yakutsk territory within the context of ecclesiastical and administrative identity of Yakutia in the middle of the XVIIth - the beginning of XXth centuries. The author reveals the specific character of ecclesiactical administration of the territory. Besides it determines the primary objective of state Orthodoxy that involved the integration of Yakutsk province to the Russian territory. Moreover, the author analyzes the results of the activity of the Russian Orthodox Church in Yakutia at the beginning of the XXth century.
