It's a preliminary article, formed according to the results of the contest of young scientists' research works. Although all research works varied a lot in themes and disciplines, they were related by the problem of interaction and mutual adaptation of migrants and the receiving society. The contest was held by an inter-regional and inter-disciplinary longstanding team, fulfilling the research project within the CASE activity at the ISU. All papers were reviewed and edited by the project participants.
