Abstract
This paper presents the main stages of the life and career as well as the scientificorganizational activities of the Siberian geographer, Professor L. M. Korytniy. The author marked out the main areas of geographical research maide by Professor: georesource studies, structural hydrology, political geography, theme cartography and geoecology of Siberian regions.
