Abstract
The author deals with the factors that have much importance for the emergence of anthropology of religion: approach to «primitive» cultures as having their own history and not as a collection of disparate facts creation of a new, free from excesses of the colonial policy, image of aborigines the emergence of museums of non-European cultures that had both educational and scientific value.
