The Old Believers of Transbaikalia: Peculiar Features of the Making of an Ethnoconfessional Group and Main Trends of its Contemporary Development

Abstract
Peculiarities of sociocultural adaptation of the local migrant group of the Russian Old Believers – the Semeiskie of Transbaikalia, specific features of their worldview and values, and the role of the confessional factor that influenced their adaptation and social communication are considered. The author also deals with the activity aimed at preserving and promoting traditional culture of the Semeiskie in Transbaikalia in the present context.
