Abstract
The authors analyze the modern conception of the nature and specifics of the civil confrontation in Russia in the first quarter of the XXth century. Modification of the vector of research of these problems and the emergence of new methodological approaches are marked causes of heightened conflict potential of the Russian society are stated.
