Abstract
Politicians, public figures and journalists have recently shown rising interest in the theme “Youth and Politics”. The authors were aimed at ascertaining which scientific community is involved into the youth issues in the youth policy, meaning how the topic is elaborated quantitatively and what the range of researchers is. Another purpose was to identify what issues of this problem the researchers were interested in. Within that context, the authors’ main purpose was to identify the issues in the state youth policy that were not examined in the framework of theses yet.
Authors’ abstracts (the main source – the Russian State Library) and indirect sources (articles, authors’ abstracts) were considered as the object of research.
The period under consideration was from 1991 to the beginning of 2014. There were revealed almost 700 works for that period. 1991 was taken as the starting point of the period of the beginning of the change of the socio-political system of the country. Moreover, the law on youth policy, the first in the history of Russia (USSR), was adopted in April, 1991.
The main selection criterion were theses on youth, the issues of youth and policy, youth issues. From that amount of materials the authors selected works on various aspects of state youth policy research. This article considers theses on two sciences – history and Politology. Firstly, these are the largest quantitative groups of defended theses on state youth policy. Secondly, these are two sciences that have temporary correlation: History analyzes experience, and on its basis Politology tries to project future. Besides, there no politological these which did not include analysis of the past.
The theses are presented in the article according to the field of study: firstly, historical theses are mentioned, and then – politological ones. Within the two groups the works are divided according to the problematic approach, then they are divided according to the chronological order.
The authors drew conclusions about each field of study and about each research problem. It enabled to elicit which themes in the field of state youth policy are already examined, and which themes need to be studied yet.
