In the article the dynamics of the number of religious associations of all confessions present in Irkutsk region in 2002–2015 is considered. The number of organizations of Russian Orthodox Church increased most of all during this period. In 2007 it outnumbered the number of Protestant churches, and far outnumbered it in 2015. This means that there is no religious re-orientation of Irkutsk region and some researches told about it. Irkutsk Orthodox Church is a significant community focused institution in Irkutsk region. Increase in number of its organization is higher in non-urban areas.
