«Unnamed Does Not Exist»: Suburbia in the Discourse of Regional Media

Abstract
This article examines the dynamics of the image of suburbian space in the Irkutsk agglomeration area in 2007–2012 in the discourse of regional print media. The authors come to the conclusion that the absence of a suburb issue in regional media is a tool for discursive reconstructing of linear boundaries between urban and rural areas, that is vanishing as a result of the new character of the suburb.
