Irkutsk “as a Reflector of 1905 Russian Revolution”

Abstract
The paper deals with the events of the first Russian Revolution of 1905 taking place in Irkutsk. Having analyzed a large number of documents and historiographical sources the authors come to a conclusion that the event of 1905 both in St-Petersburg and Irkutsk were natural consequence of inability of the autocratic government to respond to “the challenges of that time” timely and in a flexible way.
