The Clergy of Yakutia at the Turn of Epochs: Adapting to New Historical Conditions (1917 – early 1920s)

Abstract
The study aims at reconstructing the idea about the position of the Yakut clergy in the context of Soviet modernization. Measures taken by the clergy, who had to adapt to new historical conditions, are considered using one of the border lands as an example. The author comes to the conclusion that these measures were impracticable.
